The Box One Pro Double Butted Spoke Kit are 14 gauge on the ends but tapered to 15 gauge towards the middle. With the addition of the included aluminum nipples the result is an incomparable strength to weight ratio. If you were to use straight spokes and brass nipples, you'd be carrying around an extra 60 grams per wheel. It might sound like a little, but when racing at a top level it is huge.
